As an artist, Naomi brings a unique range of expertise encompassing both her Indian and American identities. She has trained in Bharatnatyam, an Indian classical dance form, for over 15 years under Guru Venkatesh Iyer, under whom she has also learned Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, and Folk styles. Having been raised in America, Naomi has also trained in various Western styles. She received training in ballet from Princeton Ballet School and Martin Center for Dance and has studied jazz, contemporary, and street styles through college and various intensives.

As a professional, she has performed on stages in projects including Aatma’s preview of Finding Home: An Indian Musical, Desi Dance Fest 3.0 with Sonali Bhaduria, Raja Kumari’s 2023 Tour in Bowery Ballroom, and Columbia MFA Program’s White B*tches in Delhi. She has also appeared in music videos including Black Hibiscus’s “You, Me, and Her” and Vaibu Mohan’s “Sati: A Goddess Reincarnate”.

Naomi received her Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University in Film and Media Studies. She has written, directed and edited her own short films, “The Call” and “Doppelganger” and worked as a production assistant for Columbia MFA and professional productions. She has also worked in acquisitions, podcast production, and research for film companies including Paramount and Screen Media Ventures.

Leveraging her expertise in marketing, film, and dance, Naomi has crafted her online persona as @naomi.nambo. Her content seamlessly bridges Western and Indian dance and cultures, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. With over 400,000 followers across social media platforms, Naomi collaborates with brands to create and execute impactful campaigns.

Naomi has trained in musical theater, classical, and pop voice under Susan Rheingans. She has performed her classical repertoire at Opera and received the Bucks County Scholarship. She has performed in various musicals and plays in featured and lead roles including Children of Eden, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Wizard of Oz, and The Little Mermaid.
